Chimayo, NM

If you are ready to discover the feel of another country right in the U.S., head to New Mexico. We traced the pilgrimaged from Santa Fe to Chimayo, walking along trails and some roads including the High Road to Taos. The landscape was high desert with hawks circling above as we walked. Our destination in Chimayo led us to the Sanctuary where we dug holy dirt from a small hole inside a small room.
